Assessing Your Needs

Prior to admission, our admissions team will complete an assessment to evaluate the level of addiction treatment needed. As part of this process, we will discuss the substances used, when it began, what started it, the length of use, how your use has impacted your daily life, what crisis has precipitated you reaching out for help.

Based on this assessment, we will determine if addiction treatment at God's Mountain Recovery Center is right for you.

What to Expect
12-Step Introduction
Faith Based/ Spiritual Support

God's Mountain Recovery Center  works to inform new clients what to expect from addiction rehab.

Since no two clients are alike, we begin by creating an in-depth assessment to specifically identify each client’s recovery needs. We tailor a blended program that will help them understand addiction, as well as any co-occurring disorders (dual diagnosis) they may suffer from. Our goal is to give our clients the confidence and knowledge to make the necessary changes in their lives. They will have a greater understanding of the complex problems that drive addiction. They will learn how to identify and navigate past their triggers and be given the tools for relapse prevention.

If they have already been in treatment, we will work with them to zero in on issues that may have been missed. Clients will learn to build a meaningful life without drugs or alcohol. And they will have the coping skills to maintain their sobriety and look forward to a future they can’t wait to begin.

Our treatment program includes participation in a introductory 12-step support group, either Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous. Twelve-Step groups help each of us help each other in overcoming our addictions and maintaining sober lives.

A 12-Step Rehabilitation Program is a set of guiding principles (sometimes accepted by members as being ‘spiritual principles’) outlining a course of action for tackling problems including alcoholism, drug addiction and compulsion.

The method was adapted and became the foundation of other twelve-step programs.
As summarized by the American Psychological Association, the initial 12 steps involve the following:

  • Admitting that one cannot control one’s alcoholism, addiction or compulsion

  • Recognizing a higher power that can restore sanity

  • Examining past errors with the help of a sponsor (experienced member)

  • Making amends for these errors

  • Learning to live a new life with a new code of behavior

  • Helping others who suffer from the same alcoholism, addictions or compulsions

We at God's Mountain Recovery Center believe that addiction is a three-fold disease including mind, body, spirit. As a result of this belief, we offer faith-based programs in the House of Hope including:

  • Pastoral / Spiritual Support

  • Affiliation with a local church

during the week are also offered.

  • Prayer groups.

Our team is committed to nurturing the whole individual in order to provide them with the best possible start on their road to recovery.
